About TERRY SOL

Terry Sol has more than 49 years experience in radio. With his experience in radio, Terry is well equipped to manage a live audience as the master of ceremonies, and has hosted a variety of events throughout the Pacific Northwest. He seldom turns down the opportunity to get on stage to share a few funny stories and introduce headlining acts at any event.

Terry has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with many talented individuals, including his good friend Louie Anderson. Terry has toured as the opening act for The Kingston Trio and Glenn Yarbrough, and has opened for acts such as: Terry Fator, Gordon Lightfoot, Kellie Pickler, Ronn Lucas, Patrick Lamb and Daniel Rodriguez. He has an affinity for tribute artist shows.

Affectionately know as “Soltisimo” by Salem listeners, Terry has worked in radio since 1974 in the New Mexico, Colorado, and Oregon markets.

 

On a personal note, Terry and his wife, Patty, love road tripping. With technology the way it is today, Terry has broadcast from obscure places, including: Mt. Rushmore, The Grand Canyon, Graceland, Las Vegas, New Mexico, Denver, Los Angeles & Canada just to name a few.  

 

Terry & Patty are the proud parents of two sons, Ryan (41) and Michael (36).    Terry coached Junior High Soccer for 11 years. Terry & Patty are most proud of there son Ryan & wife Jessica have become parents. Terry & Patty's life revolves around his beautiful Grandchildren Lily & Dylan.  Just the mention of their name brings a smile to both Terry & Patty's face. Terry was the "LIVE Play-By-Play" announcer for the San Francisco Bay Bombers Roller Derby back in the 70's & 80's.  According to Terry, he has announced roller derby games in just about every major arena in the country. He believes the memorable games are the ones in New York at Madison Square Garden. "There is nothing like the fans in New York City."
